Amy Lee Bristol and Somerset Celebrant

Reviews

We were really glad to have Amy as our celebrant. She got to know us so the ceremony was very personal with our own stories and ideas. She also delivered it beautifully on the day so our guests enjoyed it as well. We really liked how we were able to incorporate elements we wanted in the ceremony, including the knot tying and sharing cup, and include our family in different roles. Although we had our official ceremony in the registry office the day before, we felt like this was our real ceremony. Amy was very friendly and easy to work with. We felt completely prepared for the ceremony and, as a result, we were relaxed and able to enjoy it. We would recommend working with her 100%.

Amy was an absolutely amazing celebrant. We met with her 3 times before our ceremony to get to know each other. She asked lots of lovely questions about us and then came up with an individualised script which she sent to us and we were able to read and edit as needed. The ceremony was so beautiful: she told our story without oversharing, it included all the things in it we wanted it to, and it was funny and moving. It was so personal to us. We had so many comments afterwards from guests that it was the best ceremony they had ever been to. My grandma also booked her for her funeral! We honestly can’t recommend Amy enough. She was so thoughtful, attentive, and such a good storyteller. She was funny but also incredibly sincere and we will always be grateful to her for making it so special.

We just wanted to email to say a massive thank you for our ceremony last weekend. It was absolutely wonderful and captured us and what we wanted to convey perfectly. We were so lucky to find you (and we knew you’d be perfect for us when you said you were a Detectorists fan!). We have had so many compliments on the ceremony from our friends and family, and it was just exactly what we wanted. You captured us perfectly and gave us the most wonderful day.

Thank you for being such a lynchpin and joyful celebrant that brought us all together for the ceremony. I imagine it must be easy to be distracted by your own ideas and perceptions of what a wedding space could be, but what was evident was how much you really listened, heard and absorbed of us to create a 30min period of time that contained the essence of our voices and our hearts. I can't think about the ceremony without crying. By letting our voices sing, and holding true to who we are, you enabled us to be present and feel the love of all of our family and friends being distracted by the formality or disjunct of 'ceremonial' words and procedures. Thank you also for your tenacity in the handfasting ribbon debacle. We pulled it off (and pulled the knot!) Wishing you all the best for the future. Thank you for setting us off into our future as a married couple.

We were very fortunate to have Amy as our wedding celebrant, she was absolutely fabulous, we both liked her from the moment we had our first chat with her about our wedding. She was very enthusiastic and supportive with our wishes of how we wanted it to be. Amy brought in some great ideas and was very flexible with the length we asked for, we wanted a small affair because we wanted our dogs to be part of it. Even our three dogs liked Amy and behaved better than expected! Amy was able to make our dreams come true, and we had the wedding we had wanted. A truly wonderful day! Thank you very much, we really appreciate all you have done for us, and we will always remember this beautiful celebration you created for us

It was an absolute joy to have Amy as the celebrant for our wedding in March. She spent a large number of hours with us to hear our story and quickly generated a beautiful script for our unique ceremony that we were able to tweak as needed. She also guided us in writing our vows. On the day she was incredible and our family and friends laughed hard and loved every moment of the ceremony. Amy was clear, projected very well and delivered our ceremony like a true professional but with a kind, compassionate and humorous bent. She absolutely made our day! Thank you so much Amy.

Amy created the most amazing ceremony for our wedding. Delivering with humour and charisma, Amy skillfully disarmed any nervous tension from the start and set the tone for the whole day! We had lots of guests coming up to us during the day and commenting on how fantastic the ceremony was.
Amy was really easy to work with throughout and gave us helpful suggestions and examples to guide us towards creating a ceremony that was uniquely ours.

Amy totally wowed us! At first, we weren't exactly sure what we wanted – a mix of a naming day and a partnership ceremony. Next thing we knew, Amy created this awesome Family Naming Day as we all adopted the same last name. ries about how we met, what matters to us, and our dreams. She worked her magic and crafted a ceremony that blew us away with its smarts, laughs, and all the feels. Amy was the secret sauce behind our Family Naming Day, bringing everyone together in a super cool celebration of our new last name. That day is forever etched in our memories!

Amy did the most beautiful job of my daughter's naming day. it was personal, funny, beautiful and surprisingly emotional. It was a day we will treasure forever. Amy took the time to learn about me. my family and our story and therefore the whole ceremony felt unequivocally 'us.' I cannot thank Amy enough for the most special day. Her kindness meant the world and it was so nice that she took our vision, understood it and then made it better!

We found Amy a few months before our wedding in September and after a short introduction via Zoom we knew immediately that she was the person we wanted to tell our story on the big day. We met for a coffee a couple of months before the day and spent time chatting about how we met etc, and then Amy told us to leave it to her and she went away to work her magic. She took care of writing the speech as well as helping us find the right readings to accompany it and we had full flexibility about how much we wanted to hear beforehand, or if we wanted any changes made (of which there were next to none!) On the day she was a ball of energy, positive, enthusiastic and professional despite us being stood in direct sunlight during a heatwave and she had our guests in fits of laughter and tears throughout. We couldn't be more happy with how our ceremony went and we had numerous compliments afterwards.
We were also glad that Amy was persuaded to stay for drinks afterwards!
I would normally say we will definitely use Amy again, but I do hope that isn't the case! We would however highly recommend her to anyone hoping for a stress free, heartfelt, funny and moving ceremony. Thanks Amy!

Amy conducted a joint blessing ceremony for our one year old and three year old and it was superb! Amy's passion and positivity are infectious and she created a beautiful ceremony for us. Big thank you Amy.

Amy made our wedding the awesome day it was! She very informally interviewed us about our life together then came up with the most brilliant ceremony which none of our guests were expecting. She was there every step of the way altering and tweaking until it was perfect. Such a beautiful, personal and funny ceremony. That can be said for Amy too! Thank you Amy, would HIGHLY recommend.

We came across Amy when searching for a celebrant for our April 2024 wedding. We were instantly taken in by Amy's photo and smile, so we soon set up our first video call. Right from the start, we knew Amy was the right celebrant for us. She had a wonderful energy that was filled with both sincerity and humor. Amy spent the time to work through the ceremony with us, and we were able to collaborate with her to create exactly what we wanted. This included an in-person meet-up, which was a lovely touch. After the ceremony, many of our guests commented on how lovely the ceremony was. Thank you, Amy.
